Cultural education: artists in the daycare center
State funds support creative offers. Applications are now open.
In coordination with the Ministry of Family Affairs, Children, Refugees and Integration, the Ministry of Culture and Science has launched the "Artists in Daycare Centers" call for funding.
Cultural education is to be further strengthened in daycare centers. Model projects in family centers and plusKITAs will be funded over the course of 2022. Support will be provided for artistic and cultural projects with an independent artist or in cooperation with a cultural institution. The aim is to create access and co-creation opportunities for children in order to accompany them artistically from the very beginning and to promote their skills and abilities through creative activities. This is also intended to promote the structural anchoring of cultural education in daycare centers.
In view of the current challenges posed by the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic, the Ministry of Culture and Science has waived a deadline for applications. Applications are therefore possible on an ongoing basis. It is also possible to apply for projects now, even if they are not to be implemented until spring or summer. Please note that the projects should take place over a period of six months if possible.
