On April 15, 2024, the Ministry of Family Affairs published an updated version of the handout on child day care in NRW for the local specialist advice and placement offices as well as the youth welfare offices, which you can download here as a PDF. It was developed together with the municipal umbrella organizations, the Landesverband Kindertagespflege NRW e.V., the state youth welfare offices and representatives from the specialist advisory services. On around 130 pages, it contains a lot of current information and interesting facts about child day care, particularly with regard to the legal framework. The handbook is both a working aid and a reference work with numerous references to case law and examples of good practice from North Rhine-Westphalian youth welfare offices. The passages that are particularly important for administrative practice have been highlighted in blue.
