Childcare services for children under and over the age of three

From the age of one, every child has a legal entitlement to a childcare place in daycare or in a childcare facility, and from the age of three, a right to a childcare place in a childcare facility. This entitlement is directed at the local youth welfare office, which is responsible for planning and implementing a needs-based offer and thus for comprehensive youth welfare planning. It is obliged to take into account the individual needs of the respective families and to offer appropriate childcare places within a reasonable distance of the residential area.

Child day care

Child day care is an attractive and flexible form of childcare, especially for parents with young children under the age of three, which makes it easier to combine family and career. The family-oriented care with a permanent caregiver takes place in a manageable group of a maximum of five children.

Family centers

Family centers strengthen parents in their everyday parenting with their services. The aim is to support children in their individual development as early as possible.
