The KiBiz regulates the legal and financial framework for childcare in daycare facilities and childminders in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The reform of the Child Education Act (KiBiz) was a central component in the goal of making North Rhine-Westphalia a better state for children and families.

The state, federal government and local authorities have been investing almost an additional billion euros a year in the quality of childcare since the 2020/2021 kindergarten year.
