Wanted: Daycare Assistant (m/f/d) at the Daycare Center!

Daycare Assistant Program Extended Through July 31, 2027.

The Daycare Assistant Program will continue. This means ongoing relief for the educational staff at daycare centers. Further information on the funding guidelines is available on the chancen.nrw website of the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees, and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as on the websites of the state youth welfare offices, which serve as the approving authorities. Professional staff at daycare centers should be able to continue focusing on their educational work. Daycare assistants are there to support them. They relieve the professional staff of simple, non-educational tasks.

This includes, among other things, the following tasks:

  • Assistance with housekeeping
  • Helping out with kitchen duties (e.g., preparing meals, setting the table, shopping, cleaning),
  • Helping during drop-off and pick-up times, accompanying children on field trips, preparing for events,
  • Assistance in the outdoor area
  • simple office tasks.

Educational care and early childhood education remain the sole responsibility of the teaching staff.
