The sun's radiation poses health risks. Children in particular are at risk when spending long periods outdoors. Effective sun protection is particularly important for them, as their skin reacts very sensitively to UV radiation.

The Federal Office for Radiation Protection publishes a UV newsletter for this purpose. Subscribers to the newsletter receive the UV forecasts for the next three days every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
