Learning to live healthily with fit4future
We make children fit for the future
Over the past 8 years, more than one million children and young people at 4,700 daycare centers and schools in Germany have already completed the fit4future program. Tailored to the needs, wishes and possibilities of the facilities, fit4future offers individual, attractive and modern measures and content to strengthen health literacy throughout the facility and for health-promoting organizational development in daycare centers.
About the program
fit4future helps daycare centers to create a health-promoting environment so that children can grow up healthy and develop optimal health-conscious behavior. Parents are also involved, as health promotion does not stop at the daycare gate. For the 2024/25 nursery year, numerous facilities are once again invited to take part in the fit4future prevention initiative and integrate health-promoting topics into everyday nursery life. The program has been further developed over the past few years so that a two-year program is now available for the facilities. Participation is free of charge for the daycare centers.
Who supports fit4future?
This unique health and prevention initiative was developed by DAK-Gesundheit and the fit4future foundation. The content of fit4future Teens was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Ingo Froböse (German Sport University Cologne) and his team at the think tank fischimwasser. fit4future Kita und Kids was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Martin Halle and his team (Chair of Preventive and Rehabilitative Sports Medicine at the Technical University of Munich).
How can you take part?
