The Kita-Helfer:innen program will be continued. This means further relief for educational staff in daycare facilities. Further information on the funding modalities can be found on the chancen.nrw website of the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and on the website of the state youth welfare offices as the approval authority. The specialists in the daycare centers should be able to continue to concentrate on their educational work. They are supported by the daycare assistants. They relieve the professionals of simple, non-educational tasks.

This includes the following tasks:

• Housekeeping support
• Helping out in the kitchen (e.g. preparing meals, setting the table, preparing the food, preparing the meals). Preparing meals, setting the table, shopping, cleaning),
• helping with drop-off and pick-up times for the children, accompanying them on excursions, preparing events,
• assisting in the outdoor area
• simple office tasks.

Pedagogical care and early childhood education continue to be the sole responsibility of the teaching staff.
