Registration for children's day care in plain language

You have submitted a notification of need to the Youth Welfare Office
and told the Youth Welfare Office:
I need a childcare place for my child.

But:
The notification of need is not yet a registration.
You must also register with the child day care provider.

You have found a day carer for your child.
Then you make an appointment with the person.
You can get to know each other at the appointment.
And you can introduce your child.

You and the day carer agree.
Then you sign a contract.
The contract is called a care contract.

What is in the childcare contract?
This contract states:
How the care will take place and what has been agreed.
For example:

• When and for how long your child will be looked after.
• How the settling-in period will take place.
• What the care costs.
• What rules apply if your child is ill or on vacation.
