New year, new opportunity: daycare centers and local alliances for early education can apply now until March 7 at www.deutscher-kita-preis.de/bewerbung for the German Daycare Prize 2025. The award is endowed with a total of 110,000 euros.

Satisfied parents, enthusiastic people from the neighborhood or politicians can also take part and recommend daycare centers and local alliances that do outstanding work for the German Daycare Award:

The award recognizes the commitment of daycare centres and local alliances for early education. We are looking for institutions and initiatives that are continuously committed to good quality in early education and place the child at the center of their work. Opportunities for children and parents to participate and cooperation with other local stakeholders also play an important role.

The German Daycare Award is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the German Children and Youth Foundation in partnership with the German Trade Union Confederation, the DFL Foundation, the Didacta Association, the ELTERN brand, the Heinz and Heide Dürr Foundation and the social lottery freiheit+. The award provides impetus for quality in early childhood education and recognizes the commitment of the people who show day-to-day in daycare centers and local alliances how good quality succeeds on site.
